Learning Hungarian

közömbös

Click to see back of card

The picture is from the anime “Naruto.” If you want to watch this anime, watch it in the original Japanese.

(Do not listen to it in English. The English dubbing is not good. Use subtitles.)

So when I look at this picture on my Anki flashcard there is just this picture. To me, this picture triggers the Hungarian word for “indifferent.”

I can say it aloud, I can type it in, or both… depending on what I want to practice (speaking or writing or both). Then I can click the audio button to hear it, and click the “show answer” to see it written (közömbös). Nowhere is there any English. There is no need. Here is the situation, Sasuke is there, standing over the unconscious Naruto, and if you are at all remotely familiar with the anime, you know that Sasuke is the embodiment of the word közömbös.

Thus begins my little carved out space here on the web regarding:

Learning Hungarian.

And of course, it starts with people being indifferent.
